Current Instagram Trends You Should Be Following Right Now
We all know that Instagram loves to surprise us with new features and updates on their platform. Here are the latest Instagram trends and features that you might’ve missed:
Gain More Exposure with New Features on IG Reels
If you’re not already in the loop, Reels is the current big thing now on Instagram as the algorithms are becoming more aggressive with pushing up contents from creators using Reels. So, if you want to grow on Instagram, you need to start making more Reels and use the new features on Reels for a higher chance of engagement and get discovered to new audiences.
Here, we roll out the new features on Reels that can help you engage more with your audience:
- Create Reels up to 90-seconds long: Previously, Reels had a maximum limit of 60 seconds but now, Instagram just extended the length to 90 seconds. According to Meta, the limit expansion allows users “to express their creativity on Reels” which will help to entertain and engage more with their audience.
- New Interactive Stickers: Just like the Interactive Stickers you know and love on Stories, they are now available on Reels too! You can now add Polls, Quiz and Emoji Sliders stickers on your Reels to connect with your audience and boost more engagement through active participation.
- New Audio Features and Trending Audios: The new audio features include tons of sound effects for you to choose from and you can also import your audio – a game changer for content creators and brands to create one-of-a-kind original reels on the go.
Customizable Link Stickers on Stories
We all heard from Instagram back in December 2021 that they are changing how you can add Links on your Stories from the Swipe Up feature to now customizable link stickers! But now, we see a trend where any users, public or private, can take advantage of the Link Stickers to customize your stickers to attract and engage their audience to view the link. You can even customize the sticker text for a more engaging/creative CTA!
Auto-Generated Captions on Reels
Instagram introduces auto-generated caption features where when you upload your Reels, auto-generated captions will automatically be turned on, making it more seamless and easier for users to include captions in their Reels. This option is a way for you to reach a new and wider audience from different groups as they would feel more connected and included. If the captions are not turned on automatically, you can find the setting under “advance setting”!
For reels that have been posted before, you can turn on the captions too!
Authenticity over Perfection
Out with the old, in with the new as the saying goes. More influencers and content creators are now making more authentic content with less filters and overly-edited posts to more less effort, minimalistic, natural type of posts. Authenticity is the new trend right now on Instagram. Yes, perfectly curated feed posts are all aesthetically pleasing but people now want to engage on contents that are relatable and of the real-world.
So what does this mean for brands?
It means that brands should focus on finding Influencers that offer truly authentic content to their audience whilst already fostering real relationships within their community but if you’re having trouble with finding the right influencers for you fret not, here at Noice, we got your back and we’ll help you to find the best ones that truly resonate with you and your brand!
